12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18)
Tyler is an athletic 2019 LHP/1B prospect and has a bright future ahead of himself. At 1B, Tyler, presents a low/early glove, and has soft hands. He has a clean exchange, and gets his feet into a good throwing position. Continuing to work from the ground up will elevate his game to the next level. At the plate, Tyler starts in a tall and open stance. He loads his hands into the launch position and stays balanced through contact. Continuing to attack the inside part of the ball and using the lower half will allow him to get extension through contact. On the bump, Tyler gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and repeats his delivery. He has good tempo on the mound and works both sides of the plate. Finishing over the front side and keeping a strong glove side will allow him to stay directional toward the plate. Tyler is a smart pitcher and kept hitters off balance. He will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
08/27/2017 - College PREP - Wilmington, DE
Tyler improved on the mound and at the plate during his last workout in Wilmington. He improved his CB, and his hitting numbers spiked. On the mound, Tyler has a long/lean frame, a loose arm action, and he gets good extension on his pitches. He works on a downhill plane, his CB shows good bite, and he lands in a controlled position. More extension on his pitches and continuing to add arm strength will continue to help mound effectiveness improve. At the plate, Tyler has a rhythmic swing, good balance, and a level swing plane. He flashes some bat speed, makes square contact, and uses his lower body. Loosening his grip and added bat speed will only help hitting numbers spike. Tyler has a bright future ahead of himself and we look forward to tracking his progress.
