08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 14-18) Tyler is a broad, athletic two-way prospect who works hard and is always working to improve different aspects of his game. He can pick it at second who hustles harder than anyone else on the field and makes every play he can. He is smooth in he field with fluid footwork to field and turn the DP. He shows a low, athletic fielding position with soft, clean hands and gets rid of the ball quickly to make strong, accurate throws. At the dish, he shows his strength with quick, strong hands through the zone to make consistent contact. His lower half generates bat speed and pull side pop with extra base ability. On the bump, this right hander features a three-pitch mix including a mid 70's FB with tail, a 10-4 curveball and a deceptive changeup. He works downhill to keep his pitches low in the zone and induce weak contact. Staying through his legs and directional will unlock more velocity moving forward. We look forward to seeing the next improvements Tyler will make to his game.

04/29/2018 - College PREP - Fort Myers, FL Tyler is an athletic and talented 2020 2-way prospect. At 2B, Tyler has an efficient prep step and reads the ball off the bat well. He presents an early/low glove, works around the ball, and makes accurate throws across the diamond. At the plate, Tyler starts in a squared stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He uses his lower half and stays balanced through contact. On the bump, Tyler gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and finishes over the front side. He keeps a strong front side and repeats his delivery. Tyler will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
