12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City Tyler is a solid 3B with strong leadership traits that will graduate in 2015. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying well above average hitting and power numbers through an athletic setup with rhythm. Hands are quick, generating bat speed and work through a level swing path with late explosion. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields and shows a feel for the barrel with baseball exploding off the bat when centered, displaying gap to gap pop. At the event, he was 4 for 5 with a 2B and 3B. Defensive grade are solid as he shows smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, displaying clean hands as he makes the plays through an aggressive approach. He needs to work to increase foot quickness to continue to improve defensive grade. Throws are accurate, flashing carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is mature with confidence and has a great feel for the game. Tyler has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
