01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Tyler is a solid two-way player (3B/RHP) in the 2023 class who recently displayed his skills at the FL Preseason All-American Tournament. In the field, has a plus arm tool (88 velo) that is extremely accurate. Releases from an OT arm slot. He gains ground well and plays under the baseball in a low athletic position. Moves well to his glove side and transitions his body well to a power throwing base. Working through the baseball will help him on arm side ground balls and to his back hand. On the mound, displays proper balance and a clean arm circle. His FB topped at 81 with late running action. When he locates it down in the zone, it is an extremely effective pitch. His CB sat 68-70 with 11/5 shape and gradual movement. Staying in his legs and creating back side drive will allow him more downward tilt on his pitches and be effective in the bottom half of the zone. At the plate, he hits with great intentions . Has the bat speed (87 exit velo) to generate hard line drives. Uses a quick direct path that is proceeded by a smooth timing mechanism. Overall, Tyler’s play attracted the attention of several scouts at the event.

08/05/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Tyler is a 3B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame athletic build and room to fill out. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash. At 3B, showed a good prep step and fluid/active feet with smooth actions. Good body language and plays with confidence. Good lateral range to both glove side and backhand side. Fields from an athletic/square fielding position, with soft hands, and a good glove angle. Accurate throws, with good carry/momentum, and an arm velocity up to 84mph across diamond. A right-handed pitcher who gathers over rubber, with his eyes on target, and separates his hands on time. Good tempo to his delivery with ability to repeat his delivery. A 2-pitch pitcher who throws a FB that sits 74-76mph, and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with good tilt. CB was best pitch during bullpen. A right-handed hitter with an open and athletic stance. Starts with a short/square glide step, with a small load, and gets extended through the strike zone with a high finish. Gets on-plane early with ability to hit hard line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 90mph during BP. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we see him having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
