12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Tyler is a solid/strong 2-way player who is very coachable and worked hard on his skills during his time at Pirate City. He asks questions and has a desire to improve. With the bat, this righty is one pitchers wanted to avoid. He displays a square setup with a solid base. He works back into a strong loaded position and jumps on pitches he likes, squaring the ball up with it exploding off of his barrel (exit velocity = 89 mph). He hits the ball where it's pitched with the ability to drive the gaps and drive in runs. At 1B, Tyler has active footwork and moves well laterally to GB's hit to his right and left. He tracks the ball into a soft mitt and gathers well, with the ability to pick throws out of the dirt. On the mound, this RHP pounds the zone. Arm action is quick with whip as he attacks the zone and challenges hitters to swing the bat. FB shows slight sink while breaking ball has 10/4 shape with good action, proving to be a solid 'K' pitch. Striding more square downhill will allow him to utilize more of his lower 1/2 and strong frame - resulting in added velocity on his FB. Tyler is a very talented athlete who has a bright future in the game.
