01/21/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Kapolei, HI Tyrus is a young, 2-way player with good skills. At 3B, Tyrus moves well to the ball, he fields in a low/square position, and he fields from a good base. He gets good glove extension, has a clean exchange, and throws with a short arm action with consistency to his target. On the mound Tyrus has good direction, lands with a proper length toward home, and uses his lower body throughout his delivery. At the plate, Tyrus has a square set-up, good balance, and a strong swing. He makes consistent contact, has a line drive swing, and gets his lower body through. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

2. Attack aggressively
3. Long toss
Pitching

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
