12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Tysen is a physical and athletic catcher in the class of 2023. Behind the plate, he is a strong receiver who keeps his eyes behind the baseball well. He has a low flexible set up and can move well with the pitch. His exchanges are clean and quick. His release is in sync with his feet and body. His throws are online (2.13 pop) and have carry (84 velo). He is quick to replace his feet on his blocks and he is on time with pitches in the dirt. Displayed excellent range on balls that left the circle. At the plate, he proves to be a solid contact hitter with the ability to reach base at a high level. He loads properly and gets his backside through. He maintains balance during all three phases of his swing (set-up, load, swing). We feel that Tysen will be receiving college offers soon.

07/28/2021 - All-In Membership - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Tyesen is a C prospect who will graduate in 2023. Tall frame thin build with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. Behind the dish, he has an easy sit, with quick feet, and presents a low target. Tries to beat ball to spot. Good lateral movement, with good blocking angles, and a soft chest. Clean exchange into a high 3/4 release point with accurate/on-line throws to second base. Arm velocity was 86mph and his best pop time was 2.15 seconds. A right-handed hitter, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Compact swing who does a good job of hitting ball where it is pitched. Sprayed the baseball to all fields during BP with a bat exit velocity of 84mph. With continued development, Tysen should have a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
