09/25/2011 - College PREP - Pittsburgh, PA Vince is a short, thick, 2-way player who catches and plays 3rd base. Behind the plate, Vince has good body control, firm hands, and he looks the ball into his glove. He keeps the ball in front well when blocking, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a short arm action with decent accuracy to his target. At 3rd base, Vince has playable hands and feet and good pre-pitch actions. He takes decent angles to the ball, he fields in a square position, and he makes plays. Vince has a long arm action with okay accuracy and strength across the diamond. INF skills can improve if Vince can widen his base, lighten his feet, and get his glove down sooner. At the plate, Vince has a square set-up, a short / square stride, and average bat speed. He has a level swing, he can spray to all fields, and he swings in good rhythm. Not dipping to the ball, adding bat speed, and using more lower 1/2 can help spike offensive numbers.
