Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Vincent is a strong two-way prospect who continues to improve and truly loves to play the game. He displays an easy, repeatable delivery that keeps him compact and smooth to the plate so he can execute his pitches consistently and show good control. He has a loose, quick arm that generates whip and velocity with run and sink on his fastball and good depth on the curve. He works downhill to the plate and stays in line to command the ball to all quadrants of the zone. At third, he is efficient with his footwork to make tough plays moving laterally. His hands are soft and sure to field with a quick exchange to make strong throws. Speed and agility drills will further increase his range at the hot corner. He is very comfortable with the bat, showing calmness and feel for the zone at the plate. His hands works on a direct path to the ball with good bat speed to make hard contact and drive the ball to the gaps. Vincent is a talented player who should shine during his senior season.

02/19/2018 - College PREP - Brentwood (Long Island), NY Vincent is thin, 2-way player who plays 3B and RHP. Defensively, Vincent has active feet, he stays low fielding, and covers ground well. He gets rid of the ball quickly, has an accurate arm, and can throw from multiple arm slots. Added arm strength and continuing to quicken feet will help defense improve. On the mound, Vincent has a free/clean arm action, he works in good tempo, and finishes in a complete position. He can improve by working downhill, and adding arm strength. Offensively, Vincent has a square/athletic set-up, a square stride, and good balance. He has loose hands, fast bat speed, and he can spray to all fields. More lower body and added physical strength can help hitting get even better.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
