07/05/2018 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Vincent continues to show steady progress in his baseball abilities. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, displaying sure hands as he makes the plays. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds of the double play. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, power potential has improved through a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

06/20/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series (Ages 12-14) Vincent is a coachable SS/3B prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series. In the field, Vincent shows active footwork and fields the ball out in front of his body. He has a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with good carry through his target. Vincent can improve defensively by quickening his footwork. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and comes through well with his lower half. He gets good extension on his swing with fast bat speed which leads to consistent contact and line drives. With five more years to develop, Vincent has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

03/18/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Monterey Park (Los Angeles), CA Vincent is a young, 2-way player with a thin frame. At 3B, Vincent has playable hands and feet, and he fields in a low/square position. He presents his glove well, has a clean exchange, and throws with accuracy from a long arm action to his target. Behind the plate, Vincent has efficient footwork, firm hands, and he tracks the ball well. He keeps it in front when blocking and throws with accuracy to 2nd base. Offensively, Vincent has a tall set-up, a short stride, and he loads well. His balance is solid, he has fast bat speed, and hits hard to the pull side. Vincent can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
