03/28/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Minneapolis, MN Wade is a 2B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At 2B, Wade fields with soft hands and makes accurate/on-line throws through his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Wade field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and is smooth to load. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and solid raw power. Wade can create more consistent contact by maintaining center balance throughout his swing. Overall, Wade is a developing prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Wade continues to shine on the diamond. At 2B, feet are active but needs to attack balls and play through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he continues to increase foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared, crouched setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

08/23/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - St Cloud (Minneapolis), MN Wade continues to work hard on his skills. With the bat, this righty displays a square setup with centered balance a smooth rhythm to load. He works to engage his lower 1/2, squares the ball up and hits line-drives. Working to swing on a shorter/more direct path will help to increase bat speed resulting in more power. At SS, he hustles to his right and left and works into a square fielding position behind GB's. He gathers well and has a clean transfer to throw. Continuing to strengthen his arm (long toss) will aid in his defensive development. Peterson (2022 grad) still has time to progress to get to where he wants to be.

01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Wade is a confident SS that will graduate In 2022. At SS, Wade works hard to take good angles to field the ball. He shows good hands as he works to field making clean exchanges as he works to throw. He works to create momentum toward the target and deliver the ball from a ¾ arm slot. Hitting, Wade sets up in a square stance with high hands taking a short stride to start his swing. He gets the barrel on plane and works to make contact to all fields. Working on a strength and conditioning program will allow Wade to drive the ball harder and improve his arm strength. Wade plays fearless in the field and will continue to develop and mature.

10/27/2019 - College PREP - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN Wade is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2022. In the field, Wade fields in a square position and makes consistent throws to his target. Fielding the ball out in front of his body can help Wade improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and gets into his load well. He drives his lower half through and works to barrel up the baseball. Wade can improve as a hitter by getting into his load sooner. Overall, Wade is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
