02/11/2017 - Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (Ages 14-18) Walker continues to make strides in his game. He remains balanced with fluid rhythm to load at the plate. He barrels the ball up with strength and shows the ability to use the entire field hitting the ball where it's pitched. Working to let the ball travel deeper into the hitting zone, along with unlocking his lower 1/2 more will help to tap into even more power. This 2019 grad still has time to fine tune his swing and get to where he wants to be.

01/08/2017 - National Tryout Plus - Dayton, OH Walker is a hardworking SS/OF prospect who continue to progress his game and graduates in 2019. At SS, Walker, plays with effective footwork taking the correct angles to cover good ground. He does a nice job staying in line with baseball fielding it athletically. He has a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Walker plays through the baseball with good momentum producing online throws with good carry. In the outfield, it is much of the same with Walker displays fluid footwork taking effective angles to get behind the baseball. He presents his glove and has a clean exchange as he plays through the baseball. He throws are consistent with good strength. Offensively, Walker has a square stance with a short stride that maintains direction. He has a centered balance. Walker has a direct swing path and the ability to spray the ball to all fields. He shows his most solid contact to the pull side. Overall, Walker is a versatile prospect who has the talent to impact a program in multiple areas of the game.

12/27/2014 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 2 Walker is a young player and a team first guy. Defensively, he attacks the baseball, plays downhill and is athletic in the infield. He gathers well and has a clean exchange to throw. Focusing on his fielding position and hands will help him to improve as a SS. At the plate, Walker sets up athletically with good balance. He swings on a level path and uses his lower half well to generate some pop off of his barrel. Walker is a great listener and does whatever needed to help out his team.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
