12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Walker is a coachable RHP/OF prospect who showed to be a real team player during his time at the Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City. On the mound, Walker starts with a small rock step and controls his pitches well. He shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 74mph. Breaking ball sits from 60-61mph with 10-4 break. Being more controlled getting to his balance point can help Walker improve as a pitcher. In the field, Walker makes the routine plays and flashes a clean exchange. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate with good backspin through his target. Walker can improve defensively by getting into a more athletic fielding position. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a crouched stance with his hands held high. He is fluid getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, leading to solid line drives. Taking a square stride to the pitcher can help Walker improve as a hitter. Overall, Walker is a solid prospect who has the time and potential to further develop his skills on the field.
