Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

01/30/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Fort Myers, FL Walter is a 3B/RHP in the class of 2025. In the field, Walter best attribute in his young career is his arm. His velo of 75 plays well on the left side of the diamond. His throws are strong and accurate to the base. He works well to his glove side and shows the ability to make the routine play. Working on sinking his hips and playing lower to the ground, will assist in his backhand performance and generate more pocket awareness. On the mound, he has a fast arm and keeps his eyes to the target well. His FB topped at 71 with tailing action that pounds the zone. His CB sat 59-60 with 10/4 shape. His CH sat 59-60 and has an advanced feel for it. At the plate, he has mature set up. He stays inside the ball well and maintains a quiet head. His swing is on-plane and demonstrates pull side power. With 5 years to develop, Walter has outstanding starting points for a promising career.

04/28/2019 - Accelerated Interactive Video Program - Fort Myers, FL Walter is a 3B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2025. In the field, Walter fields the ball out in front of his body and makes a clean exchange. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He gets back into his load and drives the ball to the opposite field. On the mound, Walter gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline towards the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Walter shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 54mph with tailing action. Changeup sits from 53-54mph with sinking action as he throws with fastball arm speed. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
