Official Scouting Report

  • 5Class Rating
  • RHP/OFPosition Projection

08/18/2019 - College PREP - Dickinson, ND Warrick is an RHP that will graduate in 2020. On the mound Warrick shows a 3-pitch mix with a FB, CB, and CH. The FB shows some tail, the CB is 11-5 with medium break, and the CH shows some slight depth. Through his mechanics he gathers over the rubber well and separates his hands on time. He shows a clean arm action going back with a repeatable slot and lands controlled keeping his eyes direct to the target. Working on getting his arm up sooner can help Warrick improve. At the plate, he sets up square with a short stride and keeps his balance centered. He fires his hips and works hard to get the barrel on plane showing the ability to spray the ball to all fields. Warrick shows a good mix on the mound and were excited to see his progress.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
