09/12/2018 - Under Armour Fall Classic, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One William is a coachable prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Under Armour Fall Classic. As a C, William shows efficient footwork and is very agile moving to block. He sits in an athletic stance and receives with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws to 2B, keeping them accurate with good carry through the bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He produces fast bat speed through the zone which leads to consistent contact and good pop to his pull side. Overall, William is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

04/30/2017 - College PREP - Fort Myers, FL William is a talented young 2019 Catching prospect. Behind the plate, William works behind the ball when receiving, blocks the ball well, shows good footwork towards second, and follows through on his throws. If he continues to work on being in athletic stance, getting his chin down, and getting his hand behind his glove when blocking, he will elevate his game as a catcher. Being in a less staggered stance will allow him to be a better receiver and blocker. At the plate, William has a balanced stance, uses his lower half, and hits the ball to all fields. If he continues to create rhythm in his hands, load his hands back into the drive position, and attack the inside part of the ball, he will increase his ability to drive the ball through the middle of the field and put his power on display.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
