11/08/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Columbia, SC
William continues to show as a top prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has proved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.32 runner. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Behind the plate, he presents a soft/sure mitt, sticking balls in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well. Pop times showed in the 2.15 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.
06/22/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18)
William is an athletic and talented 2020 catching prospect. He worked hard all week and made several adjustments. Behind the dish, he shows a big target, works behind the ball, and has smooth actions to the ball. He has strong receiving skills and does a job calling a game. When blocking, he falls into a low position. He needs to continue to anticipate balls in the dirt and look to block the ball with his chest. When throwing, William has a clean exchange, a loose arm action, and makes accurate throws to the bases. At the plate, William starts in an open stance, has a level bat path and hits line drives to all fields. He needs to continue to create backside side with his lower half, hit off a firm front side, and stay back on the ball. He made big improvements on his hitting and had a more balanced approach in game by the end of the week. William will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
03/24/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Greenville, SC
William is a C/1B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Behind the plate, William shows efficient footwork and centers the ball when blocking. He sits in a low stance and receives with a firm glove. He makes a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to 2B. William can improve as a C by long tossing to build up his arm strength. At 1B, William makes the routine plays and keeps his throws on-line with carry through his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help William improve as a 1B. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets back into his load and takes a direct swing, leading to solid line drives. William can improve as a hitter by working a smoother rhythm into his load. With three more years to develop, William has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.
01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament
William is an athletic and talented 2022 catching prospect. Behind the dish, William starts in a balanced primary and athletic secondary stance. When receiving, he works behind the ball and sees the ball into the glove. When blocking he leads with his glove and creates a good angle over the ball. When throwing, William creates momentum in his lower half and makes accurate throws. At the plate, William starts in an open stance and gets his front foot down on time. He gets his barrel flat to the ball and he drives the ball to all fields. In game, William shows a middle approach and has good pitch recognition. William will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
07/17/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14)
William continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Behind the plate, he threw his lowest pop time to date at 2.55 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Feet are quick in gaining ground through a clean transfer / exchange. He shows a solid setup, sticks balls well in the zone, and utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner. At 1B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He works to square ball up and makes the routine plays. He displays proper footwork around the bag and he is a quality receiver. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive approach. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

William is a young, athletic, 2-way player who catches and pitches. Behind the plate, William has active feet, agile movements, and he sits in low and athletically. He has firm hands, he blocks well, and throws with accuracy and consistency from a short arm action. At 1st base, William has active/efficient footwork, he moves well to the ball, and throws with accuracy from a clean exchange to his target. Offensively, William has an open stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has fast bat speed, a compact stroke, and can work the ball gap to gap. William can get even better with work on the following.
