04/07/2024 - National Showcase - Charlottesville, VA Will continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities. He did show in the OF for the first time at the event. At SS, defensive abilities are excellent as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Hands are soft / clean and he presents well out front. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground At the plate, he continues to shine through a crouched setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path, creating extension. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Overall, Will is a talented prospect who will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

02/19/2024 - National Showcase - Gambrills, MD William continues to show as a top prospect with his baseball abilities on the diamond. He did show behind the plate for the first time at the event. At SS, defensive abilities are near a pro level as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Hands are soft / clean and he presents well out front. Range is a plus (6.97 60 time) as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with on line carry (90 mph velocity) across the diamond. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 2.09 range with accuracy on his throws as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Glove action is soft / sure and he sticks balls well in zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process and is a wall behind the plate. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying excellent hitting / power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path, creating extension. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Overall, William is a talented prospect who will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

04/16/2023 - National Showcase - Charlottesville, VA William continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.09 runner. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with carry (86 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, hitting abilities are outstanding with excellent power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

04/03/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Charlottesville, VA William recently became a can’t miss prospect in the 2025 class. He impressed scouts with his action at SS and on the mound. In the field, he has active feet and covers his defensive area well. Solid 1st step and creates proper angles to get square to the baseball. Releases from a loose ¾ arm slot and feeds have carry (81 velo) and on-line to his targets. Working to quicken his exchanges, will assist on the the sub 4.4 runner down the line. On the mound, he commands two pitches with ease. Has a strong balance point and his body is in sync with his delivery. His FB topped at 72 and worked well to both sides of the plate. His CB sat 62-3 with 11/5 shape and medium break. At the plate, he has a smooth swing with gap-to-gap production. He loads his hands well and has proper balance. Hits off a firm front side and his barrel is in the zone. Explosive bat speed (84 exit velo) with room to grow. Overall, William has great starting points and will continue to grow his game and create opportunities for himself.

07/21/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) William continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, presenting hands as he makes the plays. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, Fastball shows a range of 58-60 mph. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Stock to the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength and works to throw more strikes. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

04/28/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Charlottesville, VA William is a young, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, William has fluid/active feet, agile movements, and soft/presentable hands. He moves well laterally, makes plays consistently, and throws with accuracy and carry from a short arm action to his target. On the mound, William has good balance, a clean arm circle, and he separates on time. He lands with good direction toward home, with a proper length stride, and competes in the zone. Offensively, William has an open stance, good balance, and he swings aggressively. He has quick hands, fast bat speed, and he makes hard/consistent contact. William can continue to improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
