01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament William is a 2026 1B/RHP who showcased his talents at the BF Pre-Season All-America Tournament. At 1B, he has a good pre-pitch step and looks very relaxed. His big frame gives a good target and he shows good actions around the bag. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot and has consistent throws around the infield. At the plate, he has an open stance and an activated load. He is aggressive at the plate and is always trying do damage. He also showed some pop and good feel for his barrel with an 91 mph exit velocity. On the mound, William showed a 3-pitch mix. His fastball sat 74-76 mph and snuck up on hitters. He mixed that well with a curveball with 10-4 break that he was able to throw for a strike. William also had a change-up that he threw with fastball arm speed. With several years of growth and development, we foresee that William will continue to grow as both a hitter and pitcher.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
