12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic William continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities at the Recruiting Classic showcase. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and online zip across the diamond. At the plate, hitting abilities are now outstanding through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (91 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and makes consistent hard contact with gap to gap pop. At the event, he was 2 for 6 with a 2B and 2 BB. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 84 mph. Fastball shows a range of 84-85 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with sharp break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and great team player.

09/26/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Union City, CA William is an athletic SS/RHP who is a prospect on the diamond. top prospect on the diamond. At the plate, hitting abilities are well above average with pro level power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (92 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up consistently driving it to the deepest part of the park. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he takes a quick first step (7.27 60 time) and has plus lateral range. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. DP turns are quick with zip (87 mph velocity) on his throws. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 80-82 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Off speed stuff show potential as being quality pitches. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. William has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
