07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) William is a long, lean two-way player with a projectable frame and the work ethic to continue improving all aspects of his game. He shows impressive control of all three pitches and will throw any pitch in any count to keep hitters off balance. He works with smooth rhythm in his delivery to drive the ball downhill and induce weak contact. He hides the ball well and stays in control of each at bat by mixing his fastball, sharp curveball and deceptive changeup. At short, he shows feel for the position with good angles to the ball and the ability to use multiple arm slots to make tough throws. He works around the ball and gets momentum to his target to make quick DP feeds and throws. He is disciplined at the plate with strike zone awareness and an approach to attack the pitch in his zone. He gets on plane early and keeps the barrel through the zone to make square contact and use all fields. Extending his hands through contact will lead to harder hit balls and more base hits moving forward. William is an interesting prospect who we look forward to watching during his senior season.
