08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Wyatt continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate is where he continues to show best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

02/10/2018 - Mid Atlantic Regional Accelerated Hitting Weekend (Ages 14-18) Wyatt is a hard working and talented prospect that made several adjustments during the hitting accelerated training weekend. At the plate, Wyatt starts in a squared stance and loads his hands back into the launch position. He has smooth pre pitch movements and stays balanced through contact. He his hands works to the inside part of the ball and he attacks the ball with his lower half. Continuing to hit off a firm front side and having a middle approach will allow how him to be a more consistent line drive hitter. Wyatt will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

12/17/2017 - College PREP - Madison (NYC), NJ Wyatt is a young, broad chested 3rd baseman who will graduate in 2020. Defensively, Wyatt has active/efficient footwork, he fields in a square position, and makes plays on balls hit his way. He has a clean exchange, and throws with average accuracy across the diamond. Defense can get better if Wyatt can sure up his hands, field further out front, and add arm strength and accuracy. At the plate, Wyatt has a square/athletic set-up, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has a line drive approach, makes hard consistent contact, and he gets his lower 1/2 through. A shorter swing, and more direct hands to the ball can help hitting get better.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
