12/27/2019 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Wyatt is an athletic and talented 2021 2-way prospect that worked hard all week. On the bump, Wyatt gathers over the rubber, he separates on time, and finds a balance point. He has confidence in his breaking ball but he needs to be more consistent with his fastball over the plate. Riding his back leg and working down hill will improve his ability to work over the front side. In the OF, Wyatt is on time with his prep step, he is aggressive to the ball, and fields the ball in front of his body. He needs to be more consistent with his first step and reading the ball off the bat. At the plate, Wyatt has a good aptitude and looks to hit the ball to the pull side. He starts in a crouched stance, he loads his hands back into the drive position, and gets to balance with his lower half. He needs to continue to load on time and attack the inside part of the ball. Rotating his lower half will improve his contact rate and ability to drive the ball. Wyatt will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

09/15/2019 - College PREP - Kansas City, KS Wyatt is a lean RHP/OF who will graduate in 2021 and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 60 time of 7.31. In the OF, he utilizes his feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. Glove action is clean and utilizes two hands well as he presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through a closed setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 68-69 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Wyatt has potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
