07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Wyatt is a C prospect in the class of 2027 who improved his skills at the BF National World Series. At the plate he showed good feel for his swing throughout the weekend. Simple set up and load helped him get into consistent launch positions. He did a good job of staying on time and tracking the ball deep into his barrel. In live game action he made consistent contact and reached base multiple times. Behind the plate, he did a good of presenting a low target as well as sitting deep in his squat. Did a good job creating momentum on his throws to second base with a best pop time of 2.4 seconds. Wyatt is an exciting young prospect that we hope to see again in the future.

01/22/2023 - Official Player Development Membership - Jacksonville, FL Wyatt continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show at 3B for the first time at the event. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but will benefit by getting body down sooner. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.60 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 3B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active but needs to attack ball and play through with his body, gaining ground. Hands are clean is clean but needs to present earlier and more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, power potential has improved through a wide setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

11/03/2022 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex Wyatt Cleeton Wyatt is a C/3B in the 2027 class. In the field, he has agile movements and moves well from side to side. His stance is low and athletic and his glove is firm. His arm action is short and uses a high ¾ slot. His feeds are accurate and uses his body well to produce on-line throws. Working to sink his hips and keep his eyes behind the leather will assist with his backhand play. Behind the plate, he registered 2.88 on his pops with potential to subtract times with his athletic ability. Keeps his eyes behind the ball well and is a solid receiver. At the plate, he has a terrific set up and stays balanced. Has a solid barrel path and engages his hips well. Scouts really like his starting points and feel he has a great future in the game.

03/13/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Jacksonville, FL Wyatt is a young, athletic, 2-way player who catches and plays OF. Behind the plate, Wyatt sits in squarely and he presents his glove well. He keeps his thumb under the ball, looks it in well, and throws with a long arm action to 2nd base. If Wyatt can loosen actions, quicken footwork, and add arm strength, catching skills will improve. In the OF, Wyatt has active footwork, a presentable glove, and he fields athletically. He fields cleanly, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy to his cut off man. Added range, a quicker release, and added arm strength will improve OF skills. At the plate, Wyatt has a tall/square set-up, a square stride, and he loads his hands back well. He tracks to contact, swings on plane, and makes contact. If Wyatt can improve rhythm, shorten his swing, and use more lower body, hitting numbers will spike.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
