11/26/2017 - College PREP - Shreveport, LA Wyatt is a broad, thick LHP/1B who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying well above average hitting abilities with tremendous power potential through an open, athletic setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. At 1B, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active and he displays proper footwork around the bag. Glove action is soft /sure and he presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 68-72 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard resembling fastball velocity. He throws a slider that is slightly harder than breaking ball with 2/8 shape. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Wyatt has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress his game.
