Official Scouting Report

  • OF/RHPPosition Projection

04/25/2021 - National Evaluation and Tryout - York, PA Wyatt is a 2026 OF/RHP. Plenty of room to fill out and time to do it. Primary OF, efficient footwork enable him to create good angles. Tries to work behind and through the ball. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity of 65mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher who gathers over the rubber and keeps on target through delivery. Gets to a good balance point and separates on time. FB topped out at 61mph. Mixes in a 11/5 shape slider and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed. Changeup was his best secondary pitch during his bullpen session. Right-handed hitter sets up slightly closed. Starts with a simple load and short/square stride. Direct barrel path to ball and ability to stay level through the zone. Hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 67mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee Wyatt having a good high school career and beyond.

02/08/2020 - National Tryout Plus - Palmyra (Harrisburg), PA Wyatt showed well on the mound and increased radar velocity to 57 MPH during the workout. He has a balanced delivery, a quick/clean arm action, and he separates his hands on time. Wyatt works in good tempo, competes in the zone, and finishes in a complete position toward the plate. At 3B, Wyatt has a presentable glove, he fields in a low/athletic position, and he plays through the ball well. He has a clean exchange and a loose arm with momentum across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH has a closed stance, good balance, and he swings on plane. He swings in good rhythm, makes consistent contact, and he taps into some lower body.

08/09/2019 - Baseball Factory Advanced Analytics & Pro Training Experience (Ages 12-14) Wyatt is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Analytics Training Weekend. Wyatt shows good body movements during athletic testing and gives great effort. Continuing to add strength and develop can help Wyatt increase his foot speed. At the plate, this RHH gets in a square stance and takes a centered stride. He gets good extension through the ball and hits against a strong front side, leading to solid contact to all fields. Consistently taking a level swing path can help Wyatt improve as a hitter. In the field, Wyatt takes a good first step and fields the ball out in front of his body, making accurate throws to his target. Increasing his lateral range can help Wyatt improve defensively. With seven more years to develop, Wyatt has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

07/29/2019 - Interactive Video Program - York, PA Wyatt is a young, athletic, 2-way player who plays 3rd base and RHP. Defensively, Wyatt has playable hands and feet, and makes plays on balls hit his way. He flashes a solid backhand, his exchange is clean, and he delivers the ball with accuracy and consistency to his target. On the mound, Wyatt has good balance and a clean arm circle. He keeps his eyes on target, gets good extension on his pitches, and lands with good direction toward home plate. Offensively, Wyatt has a square/athletic set-up, loads well, and his swing is level. He finds the barrel and makes square contact. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Infield
1. Play lower
2. Fielding position
3. Release
Pitching
1. Lengthen stride
2. Finish
3. Off-speed
Offense

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
