12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Wyatt is a 2028 C/RHP out of Oshkosh, WI who showcased his skills during the BF East Coast Winter Classic. He starts in an athletic and relaxed primary stance with an easy sit. He presents a good target with pocket awareness and has a loud mitt. He tracks pitches well and creates momentum on his throws to second base. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 75mph and a best pop time of 2.4 seconds. He creates good blocking angles with a soft chest. On the mound he has a sure demeanor with a good feel for pitching. Shows ability to pitch ahead in counts and is a strike thrower. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 68mph with arm side run, a 12/6 breaking ball with good depth, and a developing changeup. In 2 innings of work, Wyatt punched out 1 batter and induced soft contact. At the plate he hits from an upright and open stance with high hands. He hits into a firm front side and is centered at contact. Shows a fast barrel in hitting zone and makes hard contact to all fields. In live game action, he proved to be a tough out as he reached base 5 times with a HR, a triple, a double, a walk, and reached on an error. Wyatt has huge upside and was voted MVP of the camp. We look forward to seeing him at another event in the near future.

04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Elgin (Chicago), IL Wyatt continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in the 2.60 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he showed as a RHH and has improved his hitting / power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 67 mph. Fastball shows a range of 63-67 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

12/05/2021 - All-In Membership - Windsor (Madison), WI Wyatt is a solid C/RHP who will graduate in 2028. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process but will benefit by creating better angles to center balls out front. Pop times showed in 2.86 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing and he maintains balance. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 59-66 mph. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 7 years to further develop, Wyatt has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
