07/01/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Clarksburg, WV
Wyatt is a talented (5'11"/155) R/R catcher who is a defensive specialist. Behind the dish, he sits in well with athletic actions and sway, tracking pitches into a soft mitt. He works well laterally around pitches in the dirt and looks to center the ball off of his chest. Transfer is clean with carry/accuracy on his throws - pop times at 2.20. With the bat, this righty has an aggressive approach as he's looking to swing it. He likes the pitch on the inner 1/2 and pulls it with pop. Even more power is in the tank with more drive from his lower 1/2. Only a 2024 grad - Shears has a bright future ahead of him in the game and will only continue to progress.
