07/26/2017 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Wyatt is a talented OF/RHP prospect who has an athletic, projectable build and versatile skill set. Offensively, Wyatt has a tall stance with a firm front side and centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and square stride. Wyatt shows fast bat speed with loose actions producing hard contact. He has the ability to drive the ball to each gap with power. In the field, Wyatt plays with effective footwork taking the proper angles with a good jump to cover a wide territory. He presents his glove and fields the ball athletically. Wyatt has a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. His throws are accurate with online strength. On the mound, Wyatt works downhill and attacks hitters with his fastball. He has an on-time delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He has a clean arm action and extends through his release. Wyatt stays square to home plate with a controlled landing as he rotates towards his target with his finish. Overall, Wyatt is a versatile prospect who plays the game the right way with potential to make a difference at the next level.

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Wyatt is a well rounded 2-way athlete (OF/RHP) who showed well at the All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the field, Wyatt shows efficient feet as he moves to center the ball in a square fielding position. He presents his hands out front to field and has a clean exchange to throw from a 3/4 angle. He gains momentum well on his throws which allows them to be consistently on-line to his target. At the plate, Wyatt sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride to the ball. He is fluid getting back into his load and comes through the zone well with his lower half. He produces fast bat speed with consistent contact which leads to pull side power. On the mound, Wyatt gathers over the rubber well and has a quick arm action. His fastball sits from 73-74mph and plays very well when it is located down in the zone. Overall, Wyatt is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Wyatt is a strong/athletic (6'2"/205) 2-way player as an OF/RHP. In the OF, he takes a quick first step and is aggressive to track down fly-balls hit into the gaps. He works behind the ball and plays through it well firing strong/accurate throws from a loose arm action. At the plate, Wyatt stands in well with a strong base and centered balance. He has good zone awareness, not swinging at pitches he can't drive (going 2 for 4 with a 3B, 2B and drawing 3 walks). He jumps on pitches in the zone, barreling it up with pop (exit velocity = 85 mph). On the mound, Wyatt has an effective 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) coming from a high 3/4 arm slot. He has smooth separation and repeats his delivery well. He fills up the zone and throws strikes consistently. FB shows slight tail as he works to keep it down in the zone. Curveball has 11/5 shape with good action. Only a 2018 grad - Wyatt has a high ceiling and will light it up on the diamond in a variety of ways.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
