He recently impressed scouts with his two-way abilities at the BF Preseason All American Tournament. In the field, he has light feet (7.25 runner) and creates agile movements. He positions himself behind the baseball and works through with a squared fielding position. His pocket is clean and he creates a long 3 qtr slot to make accurate feeds. On the mound, he shows a projectable frame and is around the zone. He operates with a 2-pitch mx from a 3 qtr slot. His FB shows some cutting action at 73-5. His breaking pitch shaped 11-5 at 64-5. At the plate, he proves to be a high contact rate hitter and can spray to ball to all fields. Stays square to the dish and his balance is inside his feet. Shows smooth actions and creates a direct approach to the zone. Overall, Xander has excellent starting points to a very promising career on the diamond.
