01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Xavier continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities at the Pre-Season All American event. is a strong, athletic 1B who showed as a prospect at the Pre-Season All American Tournament. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.25 runner. At the plate, power potential is outstanding through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) generating bat speed to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball exploding off the bat when centered. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 1B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are firm and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry to his target. Xavier has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

06/16/2022 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (HS) Xavier is a coachable 1B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series in Omaha. In the field, he shows efficient footwork and moves well laterally. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate/strong through his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square and athletic with a high hand set. He gets into a small load and extends through the baseball well, driving the ball to his pull side. In live game action, Xavier reached base 5 times with a double, a single, and 3 walks. Overall, Xavier is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Xavier is a 1B prospect in the class of 2024. Medium frame stocky build, with a strong lower half, who has plenty of room to add muscle. Left-handed hitter starts with a tall and even stance. Good hip turn, with good extension through contact, and an aggressive approach at the plate. Ability to backspin balls into both gaps. Showed good plate discipline drawing a BB and hitting a double in live game action. At 1B, he starts with active feet. Showed a good glove angle on his backhand while keeping his eyes behind glove. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
