07/27/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (HS) Xavier is a 2024 C/1B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. Behind the dish, Xavier does a good job of replacing his feet and tries to work with good direction towards second base. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 78mph and a best pop time of 2.21 seconds. A long toss and J-band program, as well as a strength program, will help Xavier with his arm strength and athleticism. At the plate, he hits from an upright and open stance with comfortable hands. Showed good balance at contact point as he sprayed balls to all fields during BP. He showed good plate discipline during games as he drew 3 base on balls. He added 3 singles to his OBA. Xavier is a good team player who strives to get better in all facets of his game. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

02/14/2021 - All-In Membership - East Hampton (Hartford), CT Xavier is a C/1B in the 2024 class. He standouts with his great frame that has plenty of room left to fill out. At 1B, he shows a good ability to move well to his glove side as well as showing an ability to use his feet to create a clean arm action delivering quick throws across the diamond. Behind the plate, he uses a good clean exchange and on-line throws to throw down to 2B. With good glove presentation and a square setup he is becoming what pitchers want to throw to. At the plate, he starts in a tall and open stance that is very balanced. Using a firm front side and his long levers he flashes the ability to hit balls well. Xavier is a young prospect with a great base of both skills and athleticism that will be exciting to watch in the coming years.

07/21/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Xavier continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.40 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he continues to build more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the baseball sooner. He shows a squared setup and receives the ball well. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, but needs to get body down sooner. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude and good instincts with plays with a lot of energy.

12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Xavier shined once again at the Winter Classic. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 3.09 range with accuracy on his throws. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
