11/08/2012 - Baseball Factory Training & Competition at Pirate City Rosado improved his foot speed at the event as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a solid runner at 7.33. Feet are active as he works to square balls up while presenting hands out front. He needs to attack balls more and play through to continue to improve defensive grade. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate is where Xavier shows best through a balanced setup with rhythm. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed and work through a level swing path. Barrel accuracy is a plus with power numbers improving as he learns to use his lower half more. At the event, he was 3 for 4 with 3 BB as he displays a solid eye and is patient. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 73-76 mph with slight arm side run and sink. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape as he projects best at SS for the next level. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. He loves to play the game!
