01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Xavier is a 2023 2B out of Ewa Beach, HI who showcased his talents at the BF Pre-Season All-America Tournament. At 2B, he has fluid footwork and athletic actions that allows him to cover ground laterally. Xavier fields from an athletic/low fielding position and has a quick/clean exchange. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with good accuracy across the infield and a raw velo of 88mph. At the plate, he hits from a square/athletic stance, with a short/square stride, and an effective load. He has a quiet head and gets good separation and extension. His aggressive swing showcased some signs of power in his BP round and an exit velo of 88mph. In the game, Xavier showcased his baseball IQ and strong eye at the plate drawing 3 base on balls. We expect to see Xavier have an outstanding senior season and continue to catch the eye of scouts.

09/28/2022 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic (2023) Xavier is an athletic 2023 SS out of Ewa Beach, HI who showcased his ability at the Arizona Fall Classic. At SS, he showed athletic actions, with smooth footwork, and good body control at the baseball. He fields from an athletic/low fielding position, with soft hands out front, and has a low funnel. Made accurate throws from a 3/4 arm slot, with a loose arm stroke, and an arm velocity up to 89mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance with comfortable hands. A short/square glide step, with knob to C, and has good rhythm to his swing. He hit line drives consistently to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 84mph during BP. At the event, he made consistent contact and reached base 6 times with a triple, 2 doubles and 3 base on balls. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Xavier as he enters his senior baseball season.

07/27/2022 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Xavier continues to shine with his baseball abilities at the Southwest 17U Tournament. In the MIF, he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft/sure and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with on line carry (89 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 2 for 6. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

Exclusive College Recruiting Program a compact frame middle of the diamond athlete who shows the loose, quick first step to stick at SS and has the burst to have above average range. His actions on the dirt are of a potential plus defender at SS with rhythm is his feet, soft hands that pair with a quick transfer and the raw arm strength to stick at SS hitting 90 mph with his metric testing. The arm is accurate and has plenty of carry. He profiles to be a premium defensive player who will make an impact holding down a premium defense spot. The athleticism, instincts, arm strength and frame can easily handle 2b or CF if he needed to move off SS, but the tools are there to be a true SS. At the plate it’s a very balanced short RH stroke where he uses his lower half well, but stays to his skills set. Working with a line drive plane that will be a high contact-oriented approach with doubles power and a small amount of pull side power. He can set the table at the top of the order or add length on the backend of a lineup and play the small game with a grind it out mentality offensively. A strong student carrying a 3.6 GPA and tremendous work ethic on and off the field he is a very intriguing prospect.

08/15/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Honolulu, HI Xavier is an OF/2B prospect who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame athletic build with strength to the build and room to develop. In the OF, shows active/efficient feet and good agility in the OF with ability to cover ground in all directions. Good 1st step reads enable to create good angles. Works behind and through the ball with a high catch. Aggressive routes to balls and fields out front from an athletic/square fielding position. Accurate/on-line throws from a high 3/4 arm slot coming forward, with a long/loose arm action, and an arm velocity up to 90mph into infield. At 2B, he shows quick/fluid feet and athletic actions. High energy and effort guy. Works around the baseball and fields from an athletic/low fielding position and fields out front. Attacks the baseball, with good angles, and has good glove angles. Good touch on his DP flip and follows. Projects better in the OF. At the plate, he begins with an upright and even stance. Smooth swing, with quick hands and a late bat whip, and has good extension through the baseball. Good hip rotation with an all fields approach. Hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 81mph during his round of BP. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect having opportunities to play at the next level.

01/29/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Kapolei (Honolulu), HI Xavier is a SS/OF who will graduate in 2023. At SS, he takes aggressive/fluid routes as he fields Gb's in a low/athletic position. He works low to high with a quick DP exchange and throw. In the OF, he takes a quick first step tracking down hard hit fly balls. He stays behind the ball and makes accurate, on line throws to his target. With the bat, Xavier displays a smooth rhythm to load. He has a short, compact swing and takes aggressive hacks through the zone. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
