Official Scouting Report

11/05/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Tampa, FL Yerick is a 1B/RHP who will graduate in 2023. Defensively at 1B, he hustles hard laterally and comes through the GB on his backhand. He fields the ball, sets his feet and makes accurate throws to his target. On the mound, this righty shows a balanced delivery. He delivers a (FB, CH) from a hi 3/4 arm slot and stays directional towards home plate. With the bat, Yerick uses an aggressive approach. He swings hard through the zone and looks to drive pitches back up through the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Quick footwork
2. Get square on GB's
3. Clean exchange to throw
Pitching
1. Be a strike thrower
2. Strong frontside
3. Lower 1/2 drive off rubber
Offense
1. Develop a load
2. Develop rhythm
3. Level out swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
