10/26/2008 - College PREP - Marlborough (Boston), MA Zach is a young athletic player with plenty of time to improve and increase his tool grades. In the OF, Zach shows good range and a quick first step. He gets rid of the ball accurately and plays through the release. He has the right idea of how to play the position and a long toss program will help increase arm strength. Behind the dish, Zach has a quick release and good footwork. His arm action could shorten a little, but he blocks balls in the dirt nicely with above average ability. At the plate, Zach stays through the ball and extends well, but he tends to stride too long and he loses his balance. Correcting this will help increase athleticism and lead to a consistent approach.
