DeVincenzo continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Arm strength has improved showing accuracy, while flashing carry as he will benefit by staying on a long toss program to aid in building more arm strength. Offensively, Zach has improved hitting grades to slightly above average through a balanced approach. He makes consistent contact through a long path as he needs to work on keeping hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. At the event, he was 6 for 12 with 2 2B with 3 BB as he shows a good eye at the plate. On the mound, FB shows a range of 72-76 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with loose spin as he needs to work on staying on top of pitch.

Zach is a young, thin RHP / SS who will graduate in 2013. On the mound, Zach has a loose arm action, good glove side lead, and smooth separation. He keeps his eyes to his target, his shoulders level, and he has good direction toward home. Zach is around the plate with his pitches and he finishes in a complete position. Staying tall and better use of his lower 1/2 will help improve mound effectiveness. At SS, Zach has firm hands, okay footwork, and he keeps the ball in front. He makes to the bag well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy and average strength to his target. Defensive numbers can get better if Zach can soften his glove, quicken his feet, and field further out in front of his body. At the plate, Zach has a square / athletic set-up, a short / square stride, and good balance. He has average bat speed, he makes square contact, and he tries to be direct to the ball. Adding physical strength and spraying to all fields will help improve offensive numbers.
