03/08/2015 - College PREP - Hightstown, NJ Zach is a R/R 1B with a big build (5'11"/225). With the bat, this righty shows a square setup with rhythm in his hands. Barrel delivery is quick through a short/direct path as he connects with pop. Increased power potential is there with more lower ½ drive. Defensively, he works hard to get into a square fielding position behind the GB. He works well around the bag and can pick the ball. Improving his first step quickness will allow for increased lateral range. Zach is a couple adjustments away from unlocking his potential on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
