07/10/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National East Limas continues to shine on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he now runs his 60 yard dash in 6.99. Defensively, he has quick/active footwork and moves well laterally. He works from the ground-up and makes the plays with soft/sure hands. Exchange is quick as he fires strong throws with carry across the diamond (89 mph). Offensively, Zachary shows a balanced setup with rhythm to load. Swing is quick with bat speed as he connect and drives it with pop to all parts of the field. Only a 2018 grad - Zachary will be one to keep an eye on over the next couple years.

01/16/2015 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Zach is a young, talented middle infielder with a cannon of an arm. At SS, he showed clean, quick actions with his feet with the ability to work from right to left. He uses multiple arm slots depending on the situation and fires the ball across the diamond in the upper 80s. In the box, Zach showed a square stance with active hands and excellent balance. He tracks the ball well, which gives him the ability to work deep into counts. This explosive hitter uses all fields with a mature approach at the plate. Overall, Zach is a young player with a bright future ahead of him on the diamond.

11/16/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Houston, TX Zachary is a young, athletic, SS with very good skills. Defensively, Zachary has fluid actions, sure hands, and active footwork. He surrounds the ball well, plays through properly, and he throws with a free arm action with carry to his target. Offensively, Zachary has an athletic set-up, an aggressive swing, and he is short through the ball. He has good hitting mechanics, solid barrel accuracy, and he rotates his upper body through well. Solid abilities can further improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Double plays
2. Avoid glove pat
3. Quicken release
Offense
1. Avoid over swinging
2. Let ball travel

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
