07/29/2013 - Under Armour Southwest Championships, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Dedin showed at 3B and on the mound for the first time at the event. Currently, he projects best at 3B for the next level. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.50 runner. He works to square balls up and displays clean hands. For defensive grade to continue to improve, he needs to attack ground balls and play through while presenting hands more out front. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup with rhythm. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 73-75 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength is gained through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a hard worker and is very coachable.
