07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Zachary continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Pop times showed in the 2.21 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and work to get rid of the ball quicker. He shows a solid setup and presents a low target. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to works to get down sooner. At 1B, he displays smooth fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he and displays proper foot work around the bag. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 5 for 10 with 2 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable, and plays the game hard.
