10/29/2023 - National Showcase - San Marcos (San Diego), CA Zachary is a tall (5’10/140) and athletic SS in the 2025 class. In the field, shows fast feet and agile movements to the baseball. Plays under the baseball with sift hands and pocket feel. Can redirect the baseball quicky from a loose high 3 qtr. slot. Arm is plus at 87 velo and is accurate to his targets. Working to stay in his legs and drive off his backside with create forward momentum to his targets. Overall, plus defender. At the plate, he looks natural from a comfortable squared stance and gains a controlled stride. Swing is repeatable and he likes to be aggressive. Can drive the baseball to both gaps with an on-time swing. Overall, Zachary is a player to watch in the 2025 class.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
