08/02/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Moreno is a coachable, hard working athlete who showed well on the diamond during his time at Pirate City. On the mound, this RHP works tall and drives downhill, in-line toward the dish. He works the ball to both sides of the plate and throws strikes consistently. FB still sits 79-80 while showing some good arm-side run and slight sink which gave hitters a hard time squaring up. He works to keep it down in the zone which resulted in GB outs. Breaking ball has 10/4 shape with tight spin and good depth. He mixes his pitches and varies his looks. At 3B, Zachary shows active prep and works into a square fielding position. He works low from the ground-up, gathers well and has a quick/clean transfer to throw. At the plate, this strong righty stands in with centered balance and a solid base. He takes a hack at pitches he likes and hits hard line-drives. Moreno has a solid skill-set with upside on the diamond.
