04/22/2018 - College PREP - Grand Rapids, MI Zachary is a thin and athletic 2019 RHP prospect. On the bump, Zachary gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and extends through his release point. He's aggressive in his delivery and shows command on both side of the plate. At the plate, Zachary starts in a squared stance and gets his front foot down on time. He has good pitch recognition and has a middle approach. Zachary will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

05/05/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Adrian, MI Zachary is an average sized, 2-way player who pitches and plays 1st base. On the mound, Zachary has a free / easy arm action, a controlled balance point, and on-time separation. He keeps his shoulders level, lands on the balls of his feet, and he finishes completely. At 1st base, Zachary keeps the ball in front, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a long arm action with consistency to his target. Offensively, Zachary has a tall set-up, a middle approach, and direct hands to the ball. He swings in good rhythm and uses his lower 1/2 well. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
