08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Zachary is a strong two-way player with a projectable baseball frame. He has a strong arm to make long throws from short and to show velocity on the mound. He has feel to hit with barrel accuracy and an efficient path. He stays balanced and hits the ball hard with pop to the pull side and shows some power potential. At short, he gets around the ball to play through to his target. He presents his hands to field and makes accurate throws and feeds. On the mound, he shows a three-pitch mix and throws with good intent. His fastball has late run at 61mph and he shows n 11-5 curveball and hard changeup with run. A stronger lower half will continue to improve velocity.

04/29/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Fort Myers, FL Zachary is a young, SS with a thin frame. Defensively, Zachary has active feet, he attacks the ball aggressively, and he shows good hustle to the ball. He keeps it in front of his body, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy across the diamond. At the plate, Zachary has a square set-up, a short stride, and he loads well. He has good balance, a direct barrel to the ball, and he can spray to all fields. Zachary can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Defense
1. Follow throws
2. Play lower
3. Fielding position
Offense
1. Lower body
2. Rhythm
3. Swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
