07/30/2021 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Jackie Robinson Training Complex (HS) Zachary is a 2023 prospect out of Hackettstown, NJ who improved his foot speed as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Glove action is firm and presents out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact and stays inside the ball through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. We look forward to seeing what the future holds as Zachary enters his junior year.

03/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Milton, NY Zachary is a 2B/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Defensively, Zachary shows efficient footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is quick and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate/on-line through his target. Long tossing can help Zachary build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth to load and works through a level swing, spraying the ball to all fields. Zachary can generate more pop off the barrel by driving his lower half more. Overall, Zachary is a developing prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

10/06/2019 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Zach is a 2B/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At 2B, Zach makes the routine plays and keeps his throws consistent to his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Zach improve as a 2B. In the OF, Zach shows efficient footwork and makes the routine plays. Zach can improve as an OF by presenting his hands lower to the ball. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes a square stride. He gets into his load well and makes solid contact. Working a smoother rhythm into his load can help Zach improve as a hitter. Overall, Zach is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

07/06/2018 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (Ages 12-14) Zachary is a coachable player with a team first attitude. In the OF, Zachary is aggressive to the ball, he tracks well off the bat, and takes proper angles. He has some range, makes plays consistently, and throws with accuracy to his target. Offensively, Zachary has a square set-up, he loads well, and swings aggressively. He has good balance, a consistent/direct barrel to the ball, and he uses his lower body. Continued reps and added physical strength will help Zachary get better.

03/25/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Madison (NYC), NJ Zachary is a young, 2-way player who plays 2nd base and OF. In the INF, Zachary has playable hand and feet, and he makes plays hit to his backhand. He has a clean exchange, and throws with accuracy and consistency to his target. In the OF, Zachary has active footwork, soft hands, and he plays through the ball well. Offensively, Zachary has a square/athletic set-up, a short stride, and good balance. He swings on plane and makes consistent contact. Zachary can improve skills with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
