12/20/2021 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 Zachary is a 2022 1B/RHP who showcased his skills at the Pirate City Tournament. On the mound, he has long levers, with a projectible frame, and works exclusively from the stretch. He gathers over the rubber and strides inline toward the plate. A 2-pitch pitcher who throws a fastball that sat 73-75mph and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball. In 3 innings of work, Zachary only allowed 3 hits and did a good job of holding runners. In the infield, he starts in an athletic position and keeps the ball in front of him. He has a 2-hand transfer and creates good momentum to his target. Has a short arm stroke in the back as he works into a 3/4 arm slot. Showed ability to backspin baseballs to second base with an arm velocity up to 80mph. At the plate, he hits from a wide stance with a quiet head and a low hand set. He sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 67mph during BP. In live game action, he worked counts and reached base 4 times with 3 walks and reached on an error. Zachary is a solid 2-way prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.
