10/17/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures South Brockman is a talented RHP with some two-way potential. He commanded his fastball in the 84-86 range, and reached as high as 89 mph. He showed advanced feel for pitching, mainly featuring fastball command to both sides of the plate along with ability to land his mid 70s breaking ball. He mixed in a very good changeup as well, and generally kept hitters off balance and forced them to deal with changes in location and velocity. His delivery was athletic and coordinated, while his arm worked well from the glove and full out front with speed through the release. As a position player, he features advanced fielding ability at third base along with plenty of arm strength across the infield. He showed fluid and easy actions along with the ability to catch & throw and vary angles to make throws. At the plate, he flashed some bat speed and ability to impact the ball. His stroke appeared to be generated more from the shoulders than the hands, and got a little outside the ball in general. Overall, combines quality stuff and advanced feel for pitching and offers some two-way ability in addition.
