07/22/2014 - College PREP - Washington DC, MD Aaron is a tall, athletic OF who will graduate in 2015. Defensively, Aaron has quick feet, he reads the ball off the bat well, and he stays behind it. He is sure handed, shows solid body control, and he gains momentum toward his target with accuracy. If Aaron can loosen his actions, and lengthen his arm action, abilities in the OF will get better. At the plate, Aaron has a square set-up, he tracks the ball well, and he swings a level stick. He swings in good rhythm, and utilizes his lower 1/2 well. Aaron can improve offensively by working on his balance and adding bat speed.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
