07/07/2015 - College PREP - Minneapolis, MN Aaron is a (6'2"/190) solid prospect behind the dish who can make things happen. Defensively, he sits in well with athletic actions and sway. He is quick laterally around pitches in the dirt and centers the ball off of his chest. Exchange is quick as he works in-line and fires strong/accurate throws to 2B (pop times of 1.95). With the bat, this RH shows a balanced setup with a solid base. Swing is short/compact as he stays inside the ball well and engages his lower 1/2, helping to create pop off of the barrel (exit velocity of 87 mph). He hits the ball where it's pitched and uses the entire field. Hanson is a very talented catcher who will play at a high level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
